Project Peak, a great way to transition into GMU!

The Transition Resource Center is running three Project Peak trips from August 18-August 22 – two linked to special Project Peak sections of University 100 and one special interest section for students registered in other sections of University 100 (college sections, LLC sections, athletes, etc.).

Starting on August 18th, TRC will take their project peak students for a four night, five day camping trip including kayaking in Harper’s Ferry, rock climbing in Carderock, orienteering in Prince William Forest Park, hiking, swimming and more. The students will go on the trip with a University 100 Faculty, Peer Advisor, and seasoned Trip Leader for an adventure of a lifetime. Students return from Project Peak energized to begin their first semester at Mason and excited about the friendships and skills they’ve developed. The Project Peak program is a great opportunity for new freshmen students to experience the outdoors, get to know other students, and build key skills all while having fun. TRC love your help with sharing this information with students when and where appropriate.

Detailed information can be found on the TRC website at: http://transitions.gmu.edu/projectpeak/. The cost is $375 and we do have scholarships available (application deadline July 26th). Please feel free to send any interested students directly to Aysha Puhl via email, in person (SUB I 3600) or via phone – 703-993-8477.
