Ryan Braun, Ph.D.

Ryan serves as the Director of Undergraduate Academic Success. In this role, he manages the Office of Academic Advising and collaborates with various units in Academic Affairs and University Life to enhance the undergraduate experience and outcomes at Mason.

Prior to his experience at George Mason, Ryan led academic advising, career services, and experiential learning efforts in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida. He has also worked in academic advising and career services at the University of Kansas and Washburn University.

Ryan holds a B.A. in English Literature from Washburn University, an M.Ed in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from the University of Kansas, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Florida. His scholarly research focuses on the intersection between gun violence, higher education, and hegemonic masculinity.
